This performance showcases timeless classical masterworks including excerpts from Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Fairy Doll, The Stone Flower, Flames of Paris, and more, as well as original ballets by award-winning contemporary artists Juan Rodriguez and Ashley Carter. *Day-of-show tickets are available for purchase at the Box Office beginning one hour prior to performance. Payment can be made by cash, check, or Zelle.

The performance will feature thrilling stagings of Leonid Lavrovsky's Classical Symphony, Asaf Messerer's Melody, and the grand pas de deux from Diana and Acteon, as well as excerpts from Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, and more... plus exciting new choreography by Ellison Ballet faculty and guest choreographers. |

The performance will include excerpts from Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Walpurgis Nacht, The Flames of Paris, Oceans and Pearls, Giselle, and more, as well as original choreography by Jolanta Valeikaite, Juan Rodriguez, and Ashley Carter. Masks must be worn while inside the theater space. |
Winter Showcase 2021 Return to the Stage! December 13 & 14, 2021 7pm MMAC Theater 248 West 60th Street, NYC Preferred Seating: $60 General: $40 Students/Seniors: $30 The evening will feature the students of the award-winning Ellison Ballet - Professional Training Program in their first performance for a live audience since March 2020. The program will include stunning classical excerpts from Swan Lake, La Esmeralda, The Flames of Paris, La Fille Mal Gardée, and Oceans and Pearls, as well as original choreography by Jolanta Valeikaite and contemporary artists Ashley Carter and Juan Rodriguez. *Audience members age 12+ will be required to show in-person proof of vaccination upon entering the theater. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 who are not able to be fully vaccinated by the time of their performance, and those that are not able to be vaccinated because of medical reason or sincerely held religious belief, will be permitted to attend performances with proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the performance. Children under age 5 will not be required to show proof of vaccination or test. As a further tool to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we require proper mask usage for all patrons, regardless of age or vaccination status, at all performances. Please note this protocol is subject to change. |
Vaganova Examinations 2020
Open to the Public for the First Time in Ellison Ballet's History March 13, 2020 March 14, 2020 [CANCELLED - Please see our COVID-19 updates for more information.] MMAC Theater 248 West 60th Street, NYC General: $35 ($40 at the door) Students/Seniors: $25 ($30 at the door) In a special event, you are invited to join Ellison Ballet as we open up student examinations to the public for the first time in our history. All exams (except contemporary dance) feature live piano accompaniment. Friday, March 13, 6:00pm Junior Ladies - Classical Technique & Pointe Exams | 6:00-7:30pm Senior Ladies - Classical Technique & Pointe Exams | 7:30-9:00pm* Men - Classical Technique Exams | 9:00-10:00pm* *Start and end times are approximate. There will be a 10-minute intermission between each student group. Audience members are welcome to see one, two, or all three of the student level exams! Saturday, March 14, 3:30pm Junior Ladies & Men - Classical Pas de Deux Exams Senior Ladies & Men - Classical Pas de Deux Exams *There will be an intermission between the junior and senior portions of the exams. Approximate run time: 1 hour. These works, under the artistic direction of Edward Ellison, are staged by master teachers Bat Udval, Evgenia Singur, and Jolanta Valeikaite, alongside original contemporary works by the incomparable Cody Berkeley, and are sure to delight and astound our audiences. |
