Virtual Learning


While we were saddened that we were unable to hold classes in-person for much of the Spring 2020 semester due to the COVID-19 crisis, we were thrilled to be able to provide a full schedule of classes during that time for our Professional Training Program students through online virtual learning technology!

We were able to continue training for our students with the best in ballet education, and to keep our faculty, staff, and pianists employed. We are proud of our Ellison Ballet family, how well everyone adapted to our new way of learning, and our community-wide commitment to our art form. Our artistic and administrative teams worked tirelessly to teach our students and support our operations remotely. Our students participated in their classes from countries around the globe, and in a range of environments, but continued to give their full effort every day in technique class, pointe, variations, conditioning, music, character, contemporary, repertoire, and more.

Ellison Ballet CRISIS Fund

We have launched the Ellison Ballet Crisis Fund as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our studios closed on March 16, 2020. We need your help to be able to continue training for our students with the best in ballet education. 

Your generosity will enable us to:
  • Sustain Employment for our Faculty and Staff
  • Continue Providing Students with World-Class Dance Education
  • Preserve Merit Scholarships and Financial Assistance for those in need
  • Purchase Monitors for Faculty - Large, high resolution screens for our teachers to see students clearly (some are currently working with small tablets!)
  • Purchase Harlequin Dance Flooring for our Year-Round Students Studying Remotely from Home - Allowing for safe and slip-free training​
